TUNIS, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Tunisian military units on Friday
surrounded the international airport on the outskirts of the
capital city, an airport official told Reuters by telephone.
"There army is surrounding the whole airport right now,"
said the official, who did not want to be identified.

PARIS, Jan 14 (Reuters) - France's Foreign Ministry said on
Friday its citizens should avoid traveling to Tunisia unless it
is urgent after the Tunisian government declared a state of
emergency.
"Given the unstable situation ... it is strongly recommended
to postpone all travel that is not urgent," the ministry said in
a statement on its website.
About 1.5 million French people visit Tunisia each year and
the country has about 21,000 nationals in the North African
country.
